Principal’s Message

Greetings in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

Every student is unique, special and brilliant in all aspects. Through the Lord, let’s discover your calling and pathway to success. GLA offers a unique experience that helps young children attain success, through having a relationship with Jesus our Lord and Saviour. Our classrooms are small and individual time is given to our children from our diverse staff who are highly skilled, subject-specialized and caring to meet the diverse needs of our children.

Through Christ, all things are possible.

Oshrin Bhagowat graduated from Northwest University for the Bachelor of Education Honours in Mathematics, Advanced Certificate in Education, NPDE Diploma in Education with Distinctions.

“I owe my success to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, my mum, Shireen, dad, Hemansrai , wife, Thareshnee, daughter, Tiara Hannah, my brother, Ershrin, and my other brother, Tyrin.” God Bless all.

Holly Hockridge

Math/Science/P.E. Teacher

Holly believes that Christian Education is vital in today's modern world. Not only does it teach our students how to live a Christian life but it also teaches them kindness and patience. Her ultimate goal is to help students in their walk with God so they they will learn how to develop in their spiritual formation with our heavenly Father. Holly graduated from the University of Alberta with an Education Degree in Biology and Physical Education. The following year she went on to attend Bible school at Pacific Life Bible College in Surrey and achieved a highest honours certification.

Holly is an Edmonton local who always wanted to live in beautiful British Columbia. She loves being outdoors which is why she is so excited to be in BC because she has the mountains and the ocean right next to each other!

Juliana Kim

Operations Director

Juliana has developed various mentoring and leadership programs for youth following God's love and purpose. She was a high school science teacher in Korea, and she completed her Master's degree in Global Leadership at FDU, Vancouver.

Juliana has a deep understanding of GLA and its visions as the founder of GLA. With her background in education business and many years of experience in financial planning and management, she aspires to be a good servant of God by devoting herself to growing GLA.

Sam Lee

Youth Pastor

Sam has been a dedicated educator throughout his life. He used to work at both public and private Christian schools in Korea, and he was the Head Teacher at Kwangsung Dream Christian School in Korea for 6 years. His passion for education led him to visit numerous Christian schools and organizations in Europe and North America, doing a research on different educational approaches like STEAM, Multiple Intelligences and PBL and training other teachers.

Sam is currently the Youth Pastor at Soongsil Senior Mission Church in Surrey, while studying Christian Worldview at Trinity Western University. He is devoted to sharing his skills and expertise with GLA as a passionate Christian educator.

Raquel Higgins

Office Administrator

Raquel Higgins is a reading tutor, human resources and hospitality professional; pursuing her interest in all things artistic. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Plattsburgh State University of New York and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Professional Certification from the University of Toronto, OISE. Raquel has been blessed to know God as Lord and Savior and is witness to his mercy, love, and compassion. Raquel enjoys spending time with her family, baking, traveling, and of course, reading.

Amy Mao

International Education Advisor

Amy is originally from Shanghai, China, and she is willing to help students who are new to GLA and new to Canada. She
Email provides support for international students seeking information regarding study and life, including assistance with visas, study permits, medical insurance. She also conducts international orientation and student association activities, etc. Amy believes that attitude is altitude, and she hopes all students will grow with GLA and fly over the horizon.
